There are many well known and loved restaurants in the valley. Many offer top end cuisines while others offer simple, local fare. It is only a minute stroll from Le Grenier. The owners favourite restaurants is Cafe Bon Bon on Le Petite Dauphine.
There is one private gym in town and it offers daily or monthly rates. It is once again a short walk from the apartment and offers great equipment, pool and sauna.
The Wine Tram leaves from the main road about a minute walk from Le Grenier. It is a very focused and compact way of getting to see the wine estates without having to drive and find them yourself. The Wine Tram combines vintage busses and rail.
There are many wine estates in the valley and most are open for a very inexpensive wine tasting. ( ranging from R30- R80 to taste 5 or 6 wines)
There are many walks and hikes in the valley as well. Franschhoek Tourism will provide you with a map and directions for each walk.
Once again chat to Franschhoek Tourism. These are wine tours on horseback - certainly a different experience !
