FRANSCHHOEK LIFESTYLE

THE VALLEY
The Franschhoek valley offers so many great entertainment options with a range of really good restaurants and many outdoor options for the visitor.

Restaurants

There are many well known and loved restaurants in the valley.   Many offer top end cuisines while others  offer  simple, local fare. French Connection is a great French Bistro in the heart of the village and a two minute walk from the apartment. Sacred Ground is also a lovely spot for people-watching and breakfast. It is only a minute stroll from Le Grenier. The owners favourite restaurants is Cafe Bon Bon on Le Petite Dauphine.

Gym

There is one private gym in town and it offers daily or monthly rates. It is once again a short walk from the apartment and offers great equipment, pool and sauna.

Wine Tram

The Wine Tram leaves from the main road about a minute walk from Le Grenier. It is a very focused and compact way of getting to see the wine estates without having to drive and find them yourself. The Wine Tram combines vintage busses and rail.

Wine Estates

There are many wine estates in the valley and most are open for a very inexpensive wine tasting. ( ranging from R30- R80 to taste 5 or 6 wines)
